Streaming Technology
Dorinda's Africa in Schools Online uses video streaming technology. There are no large files that download to your computer. Many viewings of the same content are enabled at the one time. To facilitate streaming video, once clicked, the video "buffers" for a few seconds and then starts to play so that in theory, you are watching the video in a short lag. However, with some media players, you will find that the player is faster than the buffer, so your video will stop and start. If you are an advanced user of computers, you may be able to adjust your playback speed in your media player settings. If not, press pause, wait for the video to completely buffer and then click play.
